Discover: Primary Research
Using ethnography and human-centered design thinking, we discovered an opportunity space to solve a problem for the millions of employees working from home.
After several brainstorming sessions and research synthesis, we refined the problem into the following How Might We statement:HMW re-imagine how employees working in fully remote organizations build peer relationships by enabling them to make connections outside of formal work meetings and scheduled/planned interactions, so that they may improve their team dynamics, performance, and happiness in their job.

We conducted extensive secondary research to find out just how big this problem was and what the consequences were, as well as what potential solutions did or didn’t exist.

Definition: Our Solution

Bumpin is a first-of-its-kind Workplace Relationship Platform that leverages the power of play to provide remote employees with casual opportunities for making meaningful connections at work, that will lead to improved team dynamics, performance, and overall work-life happiness!
Concept Development
We conducted more primary research via dscouts and used co-creation techniques to further define a design and brand identity that resonated with our target users and helped us build a future product strategy.


Market Research
We conducted extensive market analysis to determine how our solution compared to existing offerings and what was our Strategic Competitive Advantage.


Refine:
Software Development
As we continued refining our product, we worked with student programmers using the Agile Methodology to develop a robust Minimum Viable Product that would allow us to conduct usability studies. This allowed us to gain key insights for perfecting the UX and UI.Business Model Development
Using the BMC framework and conducting willingness to pay studies, we built a functional business model that allowed us to create an actionable go-to-market strategy.Deliver: Pitch to Investors and Future Roadmap
Our final deliverable was a detailed product pitch to a panel of venture capitalists, and a final vision of how with potential spin-offs and strategic partnerships, our product can grow into a successful platform.
